Suds AI

The follow-up you never get to, handled.

Quotes close because somebody followed up. Reviews happen because somebody asked. Regulars stay regular because somebody noticed they lapsed. That somebody is usually you, at 9pm. Suds does it instead: drafting in your voice, sending only with your consent, and showing its reasoning for every move.

How it works

Watch. Think. Draft. Send, only with consent.

Watch

Something happens, or stops happening

An estimate has sat unanswered for days. A job wrapped and nobody asked for the review. A quarterly regular is overdue. Suds schedules its own check-ins on these moments, per customer.

Think

It reads the whole relationship first

Every quote, job, invoice, call summary, and message with that customer goes into one briefing before Suds decides anything. Then it picks one action and writes down why.

Draft

The message arrives in your voice

A follow-up text or email, written from your business's tone and your standing instructions. By default it waits for your approval. Thumbs it down and tell it why; it redrafts.

Send

Auto-send is earned, supervised, and capped

Where you've opted in, Suds sends on its own. A second supervisor AI reviews every outgoing message first, budgets cap the outreach per customer, and any hesitation turns the send into a draft.

What Suds covers

The revenue work that slips when the week gets busy.

Estimate follow-ups

The polite nudge that closes quotes, sent while the job is still warm. Paced over days, capped in count, stopped the moment the customer replies or accepts.

Review requests

When a job completes or an invoice is paid, Suds opens a review card, drafts the ask in your voice, routes to the platform you need reviews on, and paces the reminders.

Recurring rebooking

Regulars who quietly lapse are the most expensive customers to lose. Suds spots the overdue plan and drafts the outreach to bring the visit back on the books.

Call summaries

Recorded calls are transcribed and summarized: what was discussed, what was agreed, what's outstanding. The call you took on a ladder becomes notes you can act on.

Contact briefings

Open any customer and ask for the AI briefing: the state of the relationship and a suggested next step, built from everything on the thread.

Draft rewriting

Wrote it rough? Suds rewrites your message for text or email in one tap, keeping your meaning and your voice.

Built to be trusted

An AI that talks to your customers has to earn it.

Your customer relationships are the business. So Suds ships with the controls we would demand before letting any software speak for us.

Draft-only by default

Suds suggests; you send. Auto-send is off until the account owner reads and accepts the Suds AI terms and turns on each automation individually.

A supervisor AI on every send

A second, separate model reviews each outgoing message before it leaves. It is global: no account setting can weaken it. A hold becomes a draft for you.

Budgets and a kill switch

Hard caps on attempts and gaps per customer, per automation. One master switch turns all of Suds off instantly.

Reasoning on the record

Every action lands in the Suds feed with its plain-English reasoning. Every AI call is logged and metered, and raw bodies purge after 30 days.

Frequently asked

Questions, answered.

What is Suds AI?

Suds is ShineCRM's built-in AI assistant. It watches business events (an estimate sent, a job completed, an invoice paid, a customer gone quiet), reads the full history with that customer, and drafts the follow-up you would have sent if you weren't on a ladder. Every suggestion shows its reasoning in plain English.

Does Suds send messages by itself?

Only if you turn that on, and only per automation type: estimate follow-ups, review requests, and recurring rebooking each have their own switch. Out of the box Suds is draft-only. Auto-send also requires accepting the Suds AI terms as the account owner, and there's a master kill switch that stops everything.

What stops the AI from sending something wrong?

Three layers. First, budgets: hard caps on how many times and how often Suds can contact one customer. Second, a supervisor: before any message auto-sends, a second, separate AI model reviews it, and if it hesitates the message becomes a draft for you instead. The supervisor is global and can't be weakened by any account setting. Third, the log: every action Suds takes is recorded with its reasoning, and you can give it standing instructions it applies to every decision.

What else does Suds do besides messages?

It summarizes recorded calls, writes AI briefings on any contact with a suggested next step, rewrites your drafts for text or email, suggests a visit cadence for recurring plans from an estimate, moves deals along the pipeline with its reasoning logged, and asks you a question when it needs context instead of guessing.

How is my data handled?

Suds is off by default for every organization; an owner has to turn it on and accept the Suds AI terms before anything runs. AI calls are logged for your audit trail and raw message bodies are purged from those logs after 30 days. Data handling, including the narrow terms under which de-identified data may improve the product, is spelled out in the Suds AI section of the Terms of Service and the Data Processing Agreement.
